STAR Education, Advocacy & Support Committee

The STAR Advocacy, Education, & Outreach Committee is comprised of 13 members, both medical and non-medical. It is chaired by Dorothea N. Douglas-Lindsay, MD, FAAP (Nemours Children’s Hospital) and Seethal A. Jacob, MD, MS, FAAP (Riley Hospital for Children).

We aim to connect with every SCD patient and provider across North America so they are all aware that BMT is a cure for SCD.

STAR is collaborating with the National Marrow Donor Program and Sickle Cell Community Consortium on a variety of projects.
